Nutritional Therapy is the application of the science of nutrition to promote optimal health and wellbeing. It is evidence-based and backed by science. Nutritional imbalances are assessed and identified - using functional testing where necessary - allowing an understanding of how these are contributing to symptoms and health concerns. All nutrition and lifestyle recommendations are personalised and where appropriate, supplements will be recommended. Referral to other healthcare professionals will always be made where necessary.
My training at the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition followed the principles of Functional Medicine which treats the body as a whole, interconnected system which looks at mind, body and spirit as contributing elements to a person’s overall state of health.
